There have been many opposing studies on the safety of caffiene intake during pregnancy. Because of the uncertainty about caffeine's connection to miscarriage and premature birth, WebMD reccomends that drinks with caffeine be avoided or limited to 200mg per day during pregnancy. However, some sources suggest to avoid all caffeinated products during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Teas with certain herbs should also be avoided during pregnancy.
